eComment
An Automated Public Correspondence System
eComment (short for electric-comment system) is a comment response application that you
may use to submit questions and comments to EPA. The system assigns your question to an
EPA employee or contractor so that they can provide a response. It includes a method for
you to check the status of submitted comments and update the details of previously
submitted comment(s).
To view the status of an e-comment or add clarifying text, you must provide your email
address with the initial submission. When the comment is submitted, it will be assigned
a unique number. Using this number and your email you can look up your comment and any
response provided by EPA. If you did not provide an email address with your comment,
it is considered for informational purposes only, and no response will be issued.
